Institute for Defense Analysis. U. S. National Security Agency sponsored work.


ABC TV Network.  Performed statistical analysis of network pilot testing to identify factors influencing Nielson ratings and viewer attitudes.  Evaluated viewer survey results for ABC pilot shows.  Analysis used to select shows for subsequent TV seasons.


TNS. Conducted market research analysis for consortium of beverage manufacturers.


Southwest Airlines. Conducted statistics training sessions for Scheduling Department.


Frank N. Magid Associates. Applied multivariate statistical techniques to develop viewer segments for network TV based on viewer information interests and preferences. Developed statistical models for predicting Nielsen rating performance based on pilot show test surveys. Conducted segmentation analysis for leading entertainment companies and news organizations including Electronic Arts, ABC Family TV, NBC, ABC News, Alta Vista, Yahoo, Namco, and Fox TV.


Argo Data Resource Corporation. Developed analytical tools for a teller-staffing product currently being sold to tier-one retail banks.  Leading development of analytic customer relationship management tools, including credit risk analysis, customer valuation and attrition risk assessment.


Anderson Consulting. Developed and implemented analysis tools which improved efficiency of aluminum finishing process for Alumax, Inc., a major aluminum products company.


IBM. Developed statistical models for real-time targeting of advertisements/content to Internet website visitors. Conducted data analysis seminars. Managed team of statistics analysts.  Developed proposal for using IBM data mining tools to detect intrusions into U.S. Air Force intranet sites.


PricewaterhouseCoopers/Applied Decision Analysis. Developed probability model and analytic optimization techniques for capacity expansion investment problems in the electric utility industry. Work was conducted in cooperation with the Electric Power Research Institute.


Paramark, Inc. Developed statistical algorithms to optimally display, target and construct Internet based advertising and content.


Federal Emergency Management Agency. Managed student internship program. Work involved system and statistical decision analysis to predict call center volume and recommend staffing levels.


Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Conducted week-long seminar in statistics and decision analysis. Seminar emphasized applications of statistical techniques in decisions involving capital investment, staff scheduling, airport services, and resource allocation. The seminar also included instruction in the use of statistical and decision analysis software tools.


ACE America's Cash Express. Developed and managed software implementation of cash inventory forecasting system for 600 stores. Conducted market research seminars. Developed and implemented method to detect noncompliance by store managers with cash management protocols. Analyzed check verification procedures in order to minimize risk and increase yield.


Denton Utilities. Conducted workshop on decision analysis for City of Denton Utility directors. Workshop emphasized applications of decision analysis and introduced participants to some of the powerful computer tools available to solve decision analysis problems.


Chadbourne Environmental and Safety Programs, Inc. Performed statistical analysis of emissions data as part of a study to determine permit requirements for the cement kiln industry.


Affiliated Driving School, Inc. Performed statistical analysis of recidivism rate of drivers completing driving safety courses. Analysis was used to demonstrate effectiveness of courses as company moved into new markets.
