Introduction to Analysis II

Office hours:  Tuesdays and Thursdays 3.30-5pm, Mondays 11-12am or by appointment.

Textbook: Principles of Mathematical Analysis, Walter Rudin, Third edition, International Series in Pure and Applied Mathematics, McGraw-Hill Inc. 1976.  

Grading Scheme: Homework : 30%, Midterm:30%,  Final 30% , class participation 10%.

Final is on Tuesday, May 6, 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Homework:  Assignments will be given in class at least one week in advance of their due date.  Please use letter-sized paper only, print your name on the first page, write legibly, present your solutions in order, and staple all pages together.  Homework that is a mess will be returned unmarked with a grade of zero.  For the most part, only a portion of assignments will be graded. However you are required to hand in full assignment. 

Exams:  No make-up tests or final exams will be given. If you have a serious excuse for missing one of the two midterms and can document it, then the weight of the midterm will be transferred to the final exam. T
