- Project: Page 153 39. The project is to show the
alternating group is simple for n at least 5. The book gives a good
outline of how to do this. This project is worth 100 points, the same
as an exam. So, be sure you put a lot of effort into this and write
your results up neatly and carefully. Do not go to anyone for help
except your instructor. You are also not to look at other sources of
help such as books or the internet, although you may use the text book.
