The prime function of the UNT Math Club is to generate a more perfect union between the students, faculty, and staff in the Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas.
The following purposes are derived from the prime function:
Ø To foster and maintain student to student, student to faculty, and student to staff relationships > 0.
Ø To actively pursue the retention and recruitment of current and perspective students in the Department of Mathematics.
Ø To foster diversity by encouraging the inclusion of all underrepresented groups in Mathematics.
Ø To create a more caring, supportive and less intimidating atmosphere throughout the process of obtaining a degree in Mathematics.
Ø To provide a social outlet for students of Mathematics.
Ø To establish and encourage the development of peer-initiated Study Groups.
Ø To develop the members of the UNT Math Club into leaders within their classes.
