Calculators: not allowed during exams.  Their use for homework is discouraged but not forbidden.

Final Exam: Monday, May 8, 8-10 AM.  It is comprehensive and worth 180 points.

Midterms: There will be two 100 point midterms, on Wednesday, February 22 and Wednesday, April 4.

Homework: Usually due Fridays at the beginning of class.  There will be 13 assignments worth a total of 120 points each.  Collaboration is allowed, as the main purpose of the problem sets is to prepare you for the exams.

Grading: The highest possible score is 120 points on all the problem sets together, 100 points on each of the midterms, and 180 points on the final, for a total of 500 points.  There will be a curve.

Tutoring: available through TAMS or the Math Lab



It is the responsibility of students with certified disabilities to provide the instructor with appropriate documentation from the Dean of Students Office.

   Section 8.11: 4, 8.  Then do the following modifications of 38-40 and 46: In 38-40 and 46, compute the series of the indefinite integral.  In 38, 40, and 46 there is an easy pattern giving the whole series.  In 39, just give the first four non-zero terms.  Then compute the value of the fiftieth derivative at x=0 of the integrands in 38, 40, and 46.
